In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the formal statement, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret sect.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Content
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside several items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
